- على هيكل البيانات المستهدف أن يلبي المتطلبات الإستراتيجية المعّرفة في استراتيجية إدارة البيانات وحوكمتها وحماية البيانات الشخصية لدى الجهة
- على الجهة أن تطور هيكل البيانات المستهدف بالترابط مع بنيتها المؤسسية الكلية.
- على هيكل البيانات المستهدف أن يتبنى أحد أطر الهيكلة المؤسسية المشهورة مثل TOGAF و Zachmann.4
- على الجهة أن تراقب نماذج بياناتها بانتظام وتقوم بتحديثها
